Resources

Page history last edited by PBworks 16 years, 12 months ago

Many of the individual elements covered and mentioned in this fantastic (and growing) wiki are, necessarily, brief and simple. Afterall, most things in life that contribute to happiness are simple! However, a lot of the concepts could use some significant expansion and, indeed, have already been rather thoroughly - if not exhaustively - explored elsewhere. This is a place to collect sources that expound upon the individual concepts, whether narrow or broad, mentioned in other places on this site.

These resources could be web pages, pointers to groups, books, or just about any other knowledge source that can be referenced. Feel free to continue to place these references inline on other areas of this wiki, but if you could take a moment to update this page each time you do so it will only improve the value of this site!

I'll get us started with a couple of suggestions. (I'm on a consumerism kick at the moment, BTW)

  • Web: www.dilbertblog.typepad.com is the Dilbert Blog. you should already know this. Really.
  • Book: "The Middle Mind" by Curtis White explores the dangerous middle ground our society gravitates to
  • Book: "The Art of Deception" by Curtis White looks at hollowness, the excess of Religion on the Right, the lack of Spirituality on the Left, and makes some suggestions on how to start filling ourselves again.

PLEASE - keep adding! We need to go through the rest of the wiki and collect all the other resources here too!

Not a bad idea for general stuff, but I would try to put links to resources as much as possible on the page concerning those specific subjects.
